How should I dress?

There is not a dress code at Averyville Baptist Church for members or guests, but our ministry leaders and many of our church family dress in more traditional “Sunday” dress. Come as you are — nobody will look twice.

Am I expected to participate in the offering?

No. We don’t invite you to Averyville Baptist Church for your offering. We want our service to be a gift to you. Please don’t feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.

What kind of church are you?

We are an Independent Baptist Church, that sings the old hymns and uses the King James Bible. You can read our full statement of faith, which sets out what we hold and why.

What about my children?

There is somewhere for them at every service:

• Nursery for birth to two years, staffed at every service, so you can sit under the preaching without worrying.
• Sunday School at 10:00 AM, with classes from age two right through 6th grade, and separate classes for teens.
• Jr Church during the 11:00 AM service — children have their own service, with singing and Bible teaching at their level.
• Wednesday evenings, Patch the Pirate Club for K–5th grade and a Tiny Treasures class for ages two to four.

If you’d rather keep your children with you in the service, that is completely fine too.
